About Us
MCG was formed in 2002 in response to demand for key personnel to provide geotechnical engineering support to the mining industry.
In addition to carrying out Geotechnical Assessments we undertake design work for excavations, tips, tailings dams and water storage lagoons. We provide practical technical advice on quarry development and restoration schemes.
We provide value engineering solutions for foundations and earthworks on retail and other commercial sites.

Key Personnel
Dr P Rory Lynch CEng MICE FGS BEng MSc PhD
A Chartered Civil Engineer with 38 years’ experience in ground engineering. Rory has extensive expertise in foundation design and earthworks, slope stability and design of excavations, tips, tailings storage facilities, and lagoons. He has a comprehensive knowledge of geotechnical monitoring techniques and their application in managing geotechnical risks. He is skilled in developing and communicating practical solutions for ground engineering problems on opencast mining and construction sites.
