Welcome
MCG specialises in geotechnical and opencast mining engineering. We aim to apply excellence and innovation to projects through a widespread knowledge of the industry sectors and lateral thinking. We have extensive expertise in the design and stability of excavations, tips, tailings storage facilities, lagoons and reservoirs.
About Us
MCG was formed in 2002 in response to demand for key personnel to provide geotechnical engineering support to the mining industry.
We are appointed Geotechnical Specialists under the 1999 Mines and Quarries Regulations to a range of open cast mineral sites in the UK. In addition to carrying out Geotechnical Assessments we undertake design work for excavations, tips, tailings dams and water storage lagoons. We provide practical technical advice on quarry development and restoration schemes.
We have a DEFRA appointed Reservoir Panel Engineer who regularly carries out Section 12 and Section 10 Inspections on large raised reservoirs.
Strong and long-term relationships are maintained through consistent delivery, added value, ownership and focussed application to the project in hand.
Why Us?
